NEEA is committed to delivering a variety of services that support its funders and regional stakeholders’ energy efficiency efforts. Throughout NEEA’s 2010-2014 business planning process and other recent regional planning activities, stakeholders consistently expressed the desire for greater communication, collaboration and resources that would help the region expedite the delivery and adoption of energy efficiency. In response to these needs, NEEA is focusing on the following Partner Services initiatives:
INFORMATION SERVICES |
Beginning in 2010, NEEA will work to create an information services portal that offers one-stop access to a library of existing and new energy efficiency resources. NEEA’s partners will have easy access to market data, research, evaluations, program materials and best practices, as well as information on emerging technologies, regional program summaries, training materials and workshop/conference content.
REGIONAL COLLABORATION |
The region has recognized that increased regional collaboration is an essential ingredient to meet its energy efficiency goals. It will help the region share knowledge and best practices and avoid duplication of effort. Starting in 2010, NEEA will help launch an online forum that will allow utilities and energy efficiency organizations to engage in this dialogue. In addition, NEEA will facilitate regional working groups and topical interest groups to address regional energy efficiency needs identified by stakeholders, such as the Northwest Research Group and the Lighting Interest Group.
EVENTS AND TRAINING |
In 2010, NEEA plans to coordinate regional events, including conferences, workshops and webinars for its regional stakeholders. NEEA will focus on topics of interest to energy efficiency stakeholders, such as emerging technologies and program delivery methods. These forums will allow the region to exchange ideas with colleagues and industry experts. NEEA will also coordinate training events for utility program staff on topics they identify.
REGIONAL ACCESS |
NEEA seeks to increase the level of awareness of and access to energy efficiency resources throughout the Northwest. In addition to the initiatives mentioned above, NEEA will deploy a “Regional Circuit Rider” throughout the region to gather stakeholders’ feedback, connect them with regional resources and provide updates about NEEA and its regional activities.
