NEEA Holds Smart Grid Workshop
To help inform staff and Board members, NEEA held a workshop on February 11 about the rapidly evolving field of intelligent electric power distribution systems, otherwise known as Smart Grids. While NEEA’s focus has and will continue to be on the customer side of the electric meter, this new technology is enabling new and innovative ways for utilities and customers to interact to manage their energy use. Click here to download the slides from the presentations

NEEA Receives Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Awards NEEA was honored with four awards from the Puget Sound chapter of the PRSA February 11. NEEA garnered the coveted overall Best in Show for its stakeholder relations program and additional award nods in the annual report, editorial op-ed column and overall stakeholder outreach for non-profit organizations categories.

NEEA recently re-launched its energy management Website http://energyimprovement.org/index.html. The site is intended to be a resource that utilities can provide their customers to use as a self-guided tool to set up a framework for energy management within their companies.
