WE'RE HIRING!

NOTES FROM THE CHAIR

As 2008 gets underway, the priorities of the NEEA Board of Directors are clear. After getting input from stakeholders, we have begun an executive search to fill the Executive Director position. The recruitment profile is on our Web site and I encourage anyone interested, or if you have a suggested candidate, to make contact with the search firm. We hope to have someone hired by mid-year.

Another key priority is the development of new strategic and business plans. During the next several months the Board’s strategic planning committee will engage in a dialogue with key stakeholders to evaluate strategic issues and opportunities and then craft strategic and business plans that will guide the organization in the 2010-2014 funding cycle.

A related piece of work is conducting a retrospective on the organization to assess how well we have met our objectives and what, if anything needs to change.

Through this work we will chart a course for NEEA’s future based on lessons learned from our past and current operations, as well as a careful evaluation of emerging issues and opportunities. It’s shaping up to be an exciting and demanding year.
