NEEA Seeking Greener Pastures

The energy efficiency community in the Northwest is growing, and so is NEEA.  Today, we have officially launched an aggressive search for a new high-performance building. We want this new collaborative work environment to truly embody our six core values of excellence, teamwork, nimbleness, integrity, supportive work environment, and sustainability. We also want it to serve as a hub for the region to collaborate in the future.

Working in a high-performance office building is a fiscally, environmentally and socially sound solution for organizations. In addition to providing a healthy work environment for our employees, we hope our building will also serves as an example of how businesses can operate in an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly manner without breaking the bank.

We are committed to making this search an open and transparent process with regular communication back to you and the markets we seek to transform. At the end of the day, we hope to provide organizations across the region new resources to obtain greener leasing options.

We will be pioneering a public process as a case study for any organization in this region looking for greener pastures. Throughout our search, we will document our steps on our newly launched blog and post key documents from our search. It is our hope that by using ourselves as a case-study and by providing information and resources to the broader community, we can both meet our office space needs and stimulate the market for green office space.
